A Polycarbonate 1.59 single vision lens has outstanding properties that make vision more comfortable. The lenses have an impact resistance that is 12 times greater than conventional plastic lens and 40 times greater than a conventional glass lens. Hence they are well suited for those who lead an active lifestyle and enjoy sports like hiking-, skiing, mountaineering etc.
Cosmetically beneficial, this lens is 30% thinner and 35% lighterthan a traditional plastic lens. They also have an aspheric surface design that makes them 51 % flatter than a standard plastic lens. All Polycarbonate lenses block harmful UV rays.
